Zanzibar Luggage Storage Facility (ZanLug)
Walking around the streets of Stone Town, Fat-hiya Idrisa noticed a group of tourists with big suitcases and backpacks. She thought, ‘how can they enjoy the tour when they have to carry all that heavy stuff?’ It was the moment when the idea of creating the first luggage storage facility in Zanzibar came into Fat-hiya’s mind. Zanlug is the solution that will allow guests to enjoy exploring our beautiful island without having to worry about the safety of their belongings. Cube Zanzibar is excited to assist Fat-hiya with bringing her business idea to life.

STEAMAX
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering, mathematics and arts — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEAM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
Said Ali Said Yunus and the STEAMAX team are working on implementing the STEAM approach into Zanzibar education by designing a learning environment that includes training centers, a website, and an app.
The goal of STEAM education is to create critical thinkers, increase science literacy, and enable the next generation of innovators.

The company will also provide recycling training in order to teach people how to deal with the plastic pollution and raise awareness of the problem.

Mkulima Poultry Feed Solution
Black soldiers fly. This particular species of insect is capable of rapidly growing in biomass while breaking down food waste; once grown, these tiny livestock offer a highly nutritious protein source for larger livestock like poultry.
Mohamed wants to introduce BSF farming to Zanzibar farmers by giving them training on how to produce cheap organic animal feed and turn the production cycle into a scalable model.
