The development of any nation relies on the practical implementation of ideas that result in the introduction of new products or services or improvement in offering goods or services. In considering this, since 2015, Human Development Innovation Fund (HDIF) has been organizing an Innovation Week to catalyze the innovation ecosystem in Tanzania.
In 2021, Innovation Week was implemented in eight regions of Tanzania including Zanzibar. In Zanzibar the Innovation Week was coordinated by Cube Zanzibar from 17th to 22nd of May 2021 at Cube Zanzibar Innovation Hub – Stone Town.
The main purpose of IWTz2021 was to provide space for innovators, policymakers, funders, researchers, and other players in the innovation ecosystem to share what they have been working on, learn from and inspire each other, collaborate across sectors, and transform Tanzania through the scaling innovation. The theme for this year’s IWTz2021 is “Innovation for a Resilience and Inclusive Digital Economy”.
